Interested in formulating your own opinion about digital games based on something other than hearsay? Not sure how much of what you hear is hype and how much is real? Curious about those games that seem to be grabbing everyone’s attention (and money)? Want to know what it is that has your students (and kids) so pre-occupied? Come join me to get a first-hand look at some of the games that may be of interest to educators and how Serious Games are already having an impact on teaching and learning.

Digital games are likely the most popular entertainment pastime of the current generation and interest in the use of games for learning in school settings is once again increasing. Digital games have become at least as much a part of our culture as television was in the 50s, 60s, and 70s and as such, it behooves us to become familiar with the medium.
